Julie Myers, LCPC, NCC, CWDF

Julie is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Idaho, a National Certified Counselor, and a registered counselor supervisor. She graduated from Idaho State University with a Master of Counseling degree in 2002. Julie has been providing counseling, supervision, and consulting services in community mental health, government, and not-for-profit agencies as well as private practice. She has served both her profession and her community as treasurer and president of the Idaho Mental Health Counselors Association and as a member of the East Boise Community Work Center Advisory Board and the Treasure Valley Drug and Alcohol Coalition.

Julie enjoys working with adults and elders, individuals, couples, and groups. She maintains a general counseling practice covering a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, grief and loss, relationship issues (work, social, family, and romantic), life transitions (expected and unexpected), women’s issues, and couples counseling.

She has additional training and experience in the specialty areas of LGBTQ issues, gifted adults and parenting gifted children, geriatric mental health, trauma recovery, and dual diagnosis (co-occurring mental health and substance abuse). She is EMDR trained.

Julie strives for excellence in her practice and instills this value in every aspect of her care. Providing ethical, respectful, and caring counseling, she works to provide an environment where clients feel understood and safe so they can address whatever issue brought them to counseling. Julie tailors care to meet individual needs and situations and engages with each client in an authentic manner.

In addition to counseling, Julie is very active as a clinical supervisor and consultant. She enjoys assisting pre- and post- licensure clinicians in growing towards meeting their professional goals.
