Currently accepting new clients ages 14 and up!

My clients tell me that my counseling office feels like a safe space where they can take a deep breath, feel seen and heard, and receive the emotional support and skill-building they need to take new strides in their journey.

I truly believe we hold everything we need within ourselves. Sometimes we just need some help tapping into it.

I enjoy working with teenagers and adults on relationship issues, self-worth/self-esteem, stress and trauma, women’s issues, life transitions, depression and anxiety, LGBTQ+ concerns, and spiritual/religious challenges. I have experience working with people from diverse backgrounds and many different cultures. I am also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and have found it very useful for clients with depression, anxiety, or a history of trauma.

I lead with empathy. Many people come to counseling because they feel “stuck.” You may feel like you’ve tried everything and have struck out. You might feel alone and unsure of the next step. It can be very difficult handling all the new stressors these days and can feel overwhelming to keep up.

You are not alone and you are brave to look for help. I want you to leave my office feeling empowered with more skills than before, including understanding yourself better and learning how to show up for yourself in new ways. The goal is to discover new perspectives, connect some dots, and even become more compassionate with yourself.

I have a trauma-informed approach and I tailor treatment to your needs, interests, and values, without casting any judgment. Taking the time to get to know you and build a therapeutic relationship with you creates the trust that’s vital for progress in counseling.

In sessions, I integrate multiple theories and use strategies like cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, relaxation/grounding, exploring attachment wounds, strengthening boundaries, and improving communication skills. Some clients enjoy integrating creative arts like art, music, and movement. Many of my clients have also found EMDR to be a great tool for healing trauma and negative beliefs about oneself.

I am ready to take the next step with you. Just call me to get started at 208-629-2034 for a free consultation.
