Glory is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Idaho, and a National Certified Counselor. Glory primarily focuses on working with adolescents, young adults, and individuals struggling with addiction.

Are you struggling with feeling overwhelmed or stressed out? Are you finding it hard to do the things that used to make you happy? Have you experienced a life change that has made it hard to continue living the way you used to? You are not alone. These are very human things to be going through and we were not meant to do them alone. When we have unexpected hard times in life, it can cause us to act in ways that are not helpful to who we want to be. Whether you are experiencing depression that can cause you to feel stuck, overly tired, and sad, or anxiety that causes you to worry constantly or feel like you cannot take a deep breath without feeling a weight on your chest, these problems can make you feel lost and helpless.

Maybe you are struggling with addiction or relationship problems. Perhaps you have experienced a painful event you cannot seem to move past, or you may simply be having a hard time controlling your emotions.

These are all reasons that counseling may be helpful to you. Counseling provides a safe space for people to discuss issues they are currently facing or to talk about struggles they have been holding onto for years. In the safe space, free of judgment, we will talk about the things that are bothering you and stealing your peace.

My focus will be on creating a space for you that feels comfortable enough for us both to be open and honest — the key to forming a great helping relationship. Whatever you may need in the moment, I will meet you there. Counseling looks different for everyone. My job is to understand what you are struggling with and help guide you through it.

Maybe you do not know why you need counseling. Maybe you just know something is not working. I am here to support you through that process.

Working with teens is an area I am passionate about as my youth and energy tend to make us a good fit. My younger clients seem to have an instant connection with me and I have supported them in making lasting changes in their lives. They have told me I am someone they feel comfortable opening up with and being fully themselves. Teens are special to work with because they are at a stage of life where counseling can make a lasting difference.

Addiction is another area I have experience with and I enjoy supporting clients facing this challenge. Many people dealing with addiction have told me how grateful they are to get back to living the lives they want to and to begin feeling happy more often.

I use different counseling approaches when working with clients. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) are helpful techniques I use to support clients in better understanding their thoughts, feelings, and actions and how they interact with each other.

Person-Centered is an approach that highlights showing clients compassion and understanding and allows my clients to feel supported no matter the topic being discussed. This is something I use with all of my clients.

Mindfulness helps my clients to be present, in the here and now, not worrying about the future or the past. As my client, I will help you to look at your future and your goals rather than focusing on everything that is not going well in your life.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor. I earned my Master of Arts degree in Counseling from Boise State University. I have experience working with teens and adults in group, individual, and family sessions.

I have worked in an inpatient substance abuse treatment and held a leadership position at an adolescent day treatment center. Please feel free to contact me if you would like to schedule an appointment or consult about the next step for you or your family.

I encourage you to start working toward a better you. Now is the time to make the first steps toward lasting healing and change. I am ready to help you on your journey. Change is possible and together we can make it happen. Call me at 208.908.0692.
